Ok, I've decided to move these out of scraps after all (at least for a time^^), so here's a bit more info about it:

Arles, the roman arena (amphitheatre). That's such a marvellous place. It's really *big*.

Originally built in the first century A.D. by the romans. In medieaval times it was used as a source for building stones, and quite a lot of buildings were set up inside. Restored in the 19th century, it's still in use today as an open air venue for all kinds of festivals and events.

Sidenote: This is the place where a lot of the movie "Ronin" was shot.

Level and colour adjustments in photoshop.

I like it !!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you^^. It's a really spectacular place.
I would've prefered this kinda shot in black and white with some adjusted contrast, to make it look more mysterious :)

Nice capture never the less

Thanks, and you're probably right with the black and white^^.
Bravo! Lovely subject, lovely shot. I do like a good ruin and this is one of the best.

Thank You. If you ever have a chance to visit France... well there are a lot of good ruins there :)

(Plus loads of old and very old buildings which aren't ruins technically speaking, but which are fascinating nonetheless)
Excellent! If I ever get the chance, I will indeed.
